Bo'gus is a calm and unassuming Vy'keen on a quest to live an authentic life. Shunned by his birthclan for his gentleness, his unlikely friendship with the Gek Bea'key propelled him to seek freedom in the stars. His modesty precludes much of his history being known, but it is understood that he passed through many personal challenges before reaching the Atlas Keepers.

Biography

Most specifics of Bo'gus' past are known only through anecdotes told by Bea'key. By her account, Bo'gus was living a difficult life as a social outcast in a neighboring colony when he befriended her and discovered that they shared an identical recurring dream. Together they hatched a long-term plan to escape their scorched homeworld by slowly accumulating the mechanical and agricultural competencies needed to achieve independence.

The day they attained orbit, the pair experienced what Bea'key has called the Phase Phenomenon. This inexplicable cosmic event duplicated their ship into two copies of itself and flung each replica into a separate sector of the multiverse. Suddenly separated by untold distances, neither Bo'gus nor Bea'key could be certain where the other could be found -- or whether their partner had even survived.

Bo'gus used the confidence and skills he'd gained while planning their escape to build a life for himself on his own. He knew Bea'key would want him to live heartily and well, no matter where they ended up.

According to Bea'key, he was as overjoyed as she was when the time finally came to recount it all.

Personality

Bo'gus is deliberate in all things. A modest and diligent worker, he is also a supportive friend and compassionate explorer. This Vy'keen never takes more than he needs and thrives instead on giving to others.

Although generally easygoing and reticent, he will not hesitate to defend a loved one or deeply-held belief. He has been also been known to get involved in mischief from time to time, but Bea'key would claim this is only due to her dubious influence.

Relationships

Traveller Bea'key: Bo'gus' oldest friend and adopted "blood sibling." Together they escaped their homeworld in pursuit of a better life.
Gek Underling Aoss: Bo'gus' work as the leader of Fauna Facet requires close collaboration with Aoss, leader of Flora Facet. These two share the wordless camaraderie achieved when two souls deeply understand one another.
